Cameron Diaz and John Mayer added fuel to the rumors that they are a couple this weekend, with outings in NYC. The pair were reportedly "all over each other" and "super flirty" at the Bowery Hotel on Friday night. Sitting together on a couch in the back of the patio, Diaz and Mayer "were laughing and talking a lot," said an onlooker. Asked if the pair are dating, a source close to Mayer said, "Yes, it's definitely true." Reps for both celebs had no comment.

John Mayer seems to have rebounded from his last celebrity breakup - and moved on to another. Mayer was spotted out in NYC last night with Cameron Diaz. "They went out to several places... It was the two of them, getting to know each other, out on the town," says a source. Diaz is in New York filming What Happens in Vegas, and has reportedly known Mayer casually for a while. "This was technically not their first time hanging out...they've hung out together with friends before. But this was the first time together like this. It's new and developing...but they really like each other and it went well," said the source. Reps for both stars have not commented.

Cameron denies adultery claims

Cameron Diaz denies allegations being made by lawyers for Criss Angel's wife that she broke up the magician's marriage. "When Cameron met Criss Angel in May of this year, he had been separated from his wife for over a year and she had already filed a petition to divorce him in 2006," Diaz's rep said in a statement. "Cameron and Criss went on only four dates over a month ago and have no current relationship. These are meaningless, attention-seeking attempts to unfairly and unnecessarily exploit Cameron's celebrity by trying to involve her in matters she has nothing to do with." Why Diaz even went on four dates with this loser is beyond me.

Cam's magician boyfriend is married

Turns out Cameron Diaz's new guy, magician Criss Angel, is married. Angel's "secret" Long Island wife, Joanne Sarantakos, claims their marriage broke down as soon as he got famous and hooked up with the Shrek star. A lawyer for Sarantakos says he intends to subpoena Diaz to testify in state Supreme Court about her romance with the Vegas magician in support of his client's divorce petition on the grounds of mental cruelty and abandonment. Angel - whose real name is Chris Sarantakos - reportedly kept his five-year marriage (and 15-year relationship) a secret to raise his sex appeal to female fans. "We're naming Cameron Diaz as his lover," Sarantakos's lawyer told the court yesterday, adding that he'd had Angel followed by a private investigator for six months. "We will subpoena her as soon as she comes back to New York." He also revealed that Angel hasn't given his wife a penny of the $7 million he made last year. "He's not paying her support, which is tragic - considering his worth." Angel himself was in court, and his lawyer did not deny the allegations of adultery. The magician flashed a peace sign, but did not make any comments. According to the Mindfreak star's in-laws, "When his career took a jump forward, he became a different person. He's in love with himself. He's a narcissist. My daughter was never acknowledged as his wife. He told her it was a better single image, than a married image." Sarantakos's brother agreed, saying, "It's almost as if he played the Mindfreak game on her. He was controlling her. He's basically living in a TV persona. Chris Sarantakos is dead - Criss Angel has taken over. He killed off his old self and morphed into his new self - it's scary, really." This guy seemed like a loser from the start. Cameron apologizes for fashion accident

Cameron Diaz issued an apology yesterday for a political fashion faux pas. The Shrek star toured Peru's Machu Picchu last week wearing a green bag with a red star and the words "Serve the People" in Chinese. The phrase was a slogan of Chinese communist leader Mao Zedong, and sparked controversy in Peru - where citizens are recovering from the Maoist Shining Path insurgency in the '80s and '90s that killed nearly 70,000. "It alludes to a concept that did so much damage to Peru, that brought about so many victims," a Peruvian human rights rep told the Associated Press. "I don't think she should have used that bag where the followers of that ideology did so much damage." Diaz issued a statement yesterday apologizing: "The bag was a purchase I made as a tourist in China and I did not realize the potentially hurtful nature of the slogan printed on it... I'm sorry for any people's pain and suffering and it was certainly never my intention to reopen what I now know is a painful wound in this country's history." The actress was in Peru as part of a Canadian TV show called 4 REAL, which celebrates youth leaders around the world.

Angel tells crowd he loves Cameron

It seems the rumored romance between Cameron Diaz and Criss Angel is official - the magician gave Diaz a shoutout before embarking on a daredevil stunt in Times Square. "This is dedicated to my new girl. You know who you are," Angel said minutes before being enclosed in a clear box wrapped in cement. "I'll be thinking of you." After he completed the stunt, Angel told the crowd, "I'd like to dedicate this escape to my girl 'Trouble,' AKA Cameron. I love you baby. Have a safe trip to Europe for your Shrek tour." The whole thing's a little ridiculous, really, considering the pair have only been "dating" a matter of weeks. Seems a little convenient given the sudden press Angel has received as a result of Diaz.

MTV working to prevent catfight

Reps for Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel are reportedly working hard to prevent the two Justin Timberlake amours from bumping into each other at the MTV Movie Awards on June 3. "Everyone is determined to keep Cam and Jess apart," says an insider. "It's becoming a big deal because both girls want very separate arrival times. Nobody knows who Cameron is going to bring, if anyone. But if Jessica walks with Justin, Cameron will want to bring a date. If Jessica goes alone, Cam will probably walk alone. It's a mess." Diaz allegedly "blew up" at Biel at a Golden Globes afterparty in January when she spotted the Illusionist actress flirting with her recent ex, and the MTV awards this Sunday marks the first time the three will be in the same room since the incident. "Cam is used to being more high-profile than Jessica," says the insider. "But now that Jessica's dating Justin, she has more leverage. Cameron's looking a little unstable lately." Timberlake is nominated for best breakthrough performance for Alpha Dog, and Diaz is nominated in the best-kiss category with Jude Law in The Holiday. Biel is presenting, but not in Diaz's category! Cameron Diaz seems to be enjoying the single life since her split from Justin Timberlake in January. The Holiday actress has been linked with surfer Kelly Slater, Oscar-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou and was spotted this weekend making out with 2 Fast 2 Furious star Tyrese Gibson. Diaz and Gibson reportedly hooked up at the LA club Xenii in front of fellow celebrity clubgoers Ashlee Simpson and Meagan Good. "They made out right on the dance floor," an insider told the New York Daily News. Diaz and Gibson also arrived and left together at a pre-Oscar party, although Diaz's rep denies that the two are dating.

"It looked like the perfect post-Valentine's Day date," said a witness. "They were totally vibing each other, lip-on-lip action. Cameron looked so happy. Djimon followed her every move... They were dancing really close, bodies pressed together." Diaz's rep insists her client and the Oscar-nominated actor are nothing more than friends. "Cameron was out to dinner with friends, they ran into Djimon and he joined them for a drink at Hyde," says the rep. "They are friends, nothing more."

Cameron wins case against tabloid

Cameron Diaz has settled a lawsuit against the National Enquirer for a "substantial" amount of damages. In 2005, the tabloid alleged Diaz had had an affair with a married MTV producer while involved with then-beau Justin Timberlake. Photos of the actress in an alleged "smooching session" with Trippin' producer Shane Nickerson accompanied the story, which was posted on the Enquirer's website but removed after Diaz complained. "The National Enquirer now accepts that the photographs do not show Ms. Diaz and Mr. Nickerson kissing or in a passionate clinch, accepts that the relevant incident involved no more than Ms. Diaz giving a friend a goodbye hug and that any suggestion of a romantic involvement is entirely untrue and without substance," said the actress's lawyer. The Enquirer has "apologized unreservedly" for any distress caused to those involved.

Gore announces Live Earth concert event

Al Gore announced a massive series of concerts to draw attention to the threat of climate change. The 24-hour worldwide Live Earth event will take place on July 7, and is part of the Save Our Selves campaign. Gore drew on star power to help make the announcement, with Cameron Diaz and producer Pharrell Williams on hand at the press conference. "I've been driving a Prius since they came out," Diaz said. "I carbon neutralize when I travel... I recycle. If we can get people to change one aspect of their lives, even do one thing, that's a step closer." Performers expected to take part include Lenny Kravitz, the Foo Fighters, Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Duran Duran, the Black Eyed Peas, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Concerts will take place in Shanghai, Johannesburg, Sydney, London, and cities yet to be announced in Japan, Brazil and the U.S. Proceeds from the event will go to the creation of a foundation to fight against climate change led by The Alliance for Climate Protection, which is chaired by former vice president Gore. "In order to solve the climate crisis, we have to reach billions of people," Gore said in a statement about the event. "The climate crisis will only be stopped by an unprecedented and sustained global movement."
