McCartney-Mills battle gets nastier

Heather Mills has made some explosive charges in her divorce papers filed in Britain. Among the claims are that she was physically attacked four times by Sir Paul McCartney and that the ex-Beatle consumed drugs and alcohol excessively. Mills calls McCartney "vindictive" and alleges that he attacked her when she was pregnant and once stabbed her in the arm with a broken wineglass. Mills alleges a series of events, including one where she claims McCartney became "very angry, yelled at her, grabbed her neck and started choking her" in 2003 when she asked him if he had been smoking pot. The Wings singer is also accused of pouring a bottle of wine over Mills's head, "then reached to grab the respondent's [Mills] wineglass and broke the bowl of the glass from the stem. He then lunged at the respondent with the broken, sharp stem of the wineglass, which cut and pierced her arm just below the elbow, and it began to bleed profusely. He proceeded to manhandle the respondent, flung her into her wheelchair and wheeled it outside, screaming at her to apologize for 'winding him up.'" One has to wonder why Mills never reported these alleged abuses during the marriage, if they were so horrific.
