What are you doing this Fourth of July?
If you're throwing a bash, make sure you check out these ideas from Steve Kemble
aka "America's Sassiest Lifestyle Guru."
Steve, who just planned a fundraising event last week for President Obama, is here with tips to "sass up" your Fourth of July Celebration.
SASSY DECORATING TIPS!
It's time for flags, balloons, and patriotic swag bunting! You can never have too much of these inexpensive decor items!
Take a piece of foam board, poster board or butcher paper, red and blue paint and let your kids make a flag to hang with their hands and feet!! Handprints make the blue stars and footprints make the red lines in the flag! So Sassy! So Cute!
Take streamers and more and let all the kids in the neighborhood decorate the bikes and then have a festive Fourth of July parade through the neighborhood with the adults cheering the kids on!
String red, white and blue paper lanterns containing LED battery operated lights in your yard
either over the patio, along the fence line or over your dining table!
Take Life Savers rolls, print out red, white and blue graphic paper on your computer and then wrap the Life Savers rolls in the paper to appear as a firecracker! You can then tie a label to each and put children's names on them. Not only could these be table place cards, table centerpieces or a perfect party favor for your guests!
Invite all of your guests to dress in red, white and blue! You will be amazed how everyone dressing the part adds to the energy and festive atmosphere of your party! Best part of all, this decor costs you nothing!
Fill large glass vessels with red, white and blue jelly beans or gumballs! It's fabulously festive and inexpensive!
SASSY ENTERTAINING TIPS!
Create and burn your own custom CD with upbeat patriotic music! Not only does this add to your party, it could also be a fabulous party favor for your guests!
If your neighborhood and community allows this, a festive fireworks show is the perfect conclusion to any Fourth of July Celebration. If it is not allowed, possibly you can see a community show from your home, or watch one simulcast on TV!
Provide red, white and blue chalk and let the kids dress up the sidewalks for the Fourth of July!
Have a guessing game- Guess how many red, white and blue jelly beans or gumballs are in a glass container!
On the internet you will find all types of puzzles and games related to the United States that are great for both adults and kids alike!
Everyone loves a good relay race! Provide red, white and blue balloons and have an old-fashion relay race with your neighbors and party guests!
